With its current features SAP NetWeaver MDM 7.1 is the proven infrastructure technology for manifold enterprise MDM use cases. And as already stated in previous blogs, this release already made great strides in this context with support packages 4 and 5 that were particularly aimed at flexible master data scenarios in conjunction with SAP NetWeaver BPM. At this level, SAP NetWeaver MDM provides a comprehensive array of features and functions for MDM scenarios in heterogeneous landscapes. Despite this high versatility for common MDM use cases, the development and solution management teams have gone the extra mile to accommodate the needs of customers that have been pushing the envelope with regards to overall system performance and responsiveness. The result is Support Package 6 that is now available according to the terms specified in SAP Note 1471203.
In particular, Support Package 6 provides the following benefits:

-
Slicing concept (already used for data imports) has been applied also to mass operations
-
Improved master/slave synchronization capabilities
